ABOUT PATRICE LARIVEE
As a lifelong horseman with a successful career in showing Quarter Horses in reining, jumping, and dressage, Patrice later went on to operate his own lesson and training barn in Quebec, Canada.
When Patrice went on his cinch making quest years ago, he began looking at the functions, advantages, and disadvantages of cinch buckles on the market. Soon thereafter, he found there was a need for a horse friendly buckle—one that lays flat and allows for the correct positioning of the cinch.
As an astute observer and student of the horse, Patrice understands the correlation between physical comfort and maximum freedom of movement for enhanced performance. He aims for energy and balance which in turn produces lightness.
In Patrice's own words, "The less we subject horses to physical barriers or physiological restrictions, the more our equine partners will be able to abandon themselves to moving in relaxation and performing at a higher level. This is not about reinventing the wheel. The buckles I design are part of the evolution of the modern horse and performance practices that we know today. I want to help the horse and help people be more aware of how important a good cinch is."
